Runtime
Error 324, 329, 374…
Some network users will encounter “Run-time Error” (usually
followed by a number) when trying to run the program. The error typically
occurs when trying to start the program. The errors are a result of either
missing registration files, or OCX files that did not register correctly during
installation. The error is usually resolved by installing the “PRG Release
Runtime Files” available on the Paulin Research Group download page.
To access the download page, you must setup a membership
account. Your account is not tied to your License Number or software
registration. Once logged in and on the download page find the file entitled…
PRG 2008 Release Runtime Files
This installation package is only used for network installations where PRG
software is not installed locally on the client machines. This installer should
be run on the client only and will provide them with the necessary runtime
files to operate the software.
Install
the executable on the client (do not install on server). Some of the
files will not be needed on every machine. If you recieve any messages
saying that X file cannot be replaced this will not cause additional errors or
cause the program any error..
Runtime
Error 429
The
cause of the reported problem is a missing or unregistered run time
library from Microsoft (ScrRun.dll). There are two remediation
techniques...
Either
Search the file systems for “ScrRun.dll.” Open a command prompt window,
navigate to the folder where ScrRun.dll resides, and enter “RegSvr32.exe
ScrRun.dll”
Or, Download the ScrRun.dll Installation program from Microsoft and run that installation program. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254166)
